The utter skill and passion found within the instrumentals and vocals "keep me hanging on". Aside from the jokes, I believe this song truly is a masterpiece of a past age and something that should represent what the late 60's were all about, groovy music about love. The instrumentals were very passionate, working to sort of work together with the singer to place emphasis on the lyrics to create tension. For me this song makes me feel what the singer is saying with the hook: "keep me hanging on". Honestly the way that the emotion is conveyed through the layers of instruments is totally awesome. The lyrics, while they are pretty good, leave a little to be desired (maybe since i can't relate) but that doesn't take away from the overall feel of the music. I would give this song a solid 8 out of 10.
